The Las Virgenes-Malibu Council of Governments (COG) is a Joint Powers Authority of the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu and Westlake Village. Through the COG, the cities cooperatively and voluntarily work together to address regional priorities and matters of mutual interest.
Since the passage of Measure R, the Los Angeles County sales tax measure, in 2008, the COG’s Governing Board has approved funding to the member cities for pedestrian safety, active transportation and highway improvement projects. At the direction of the Governing Board, the COG has worked closely with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to procure over $135 million in Measure R Highway funds for these projects.
Below are some of the projects in our region that have been funded by Measure R, the County’s sales tax measure.
