ABOUT US
The Las Virgenes-Malibu Council of Governments (COG) is a Joint Powers Authority of the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu and Westlake Village. Through the COG, the cities cooperatively and voluntarily work together to address regional priorities and matters of mutual interest.
Since the passage of Measure R, the Los Angeles County sales tax measure, in 2008, and the subsequent approval of Measure M, in 2016, the COG’s Governing Board has approved funding to member cities for pedestrian safety, active transportation, green streets and highway improvement projects. At the direction of the Governing Board, the COG has worked closely with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority to procure over $140 million in Measure R Highway funds and an additional $58 million in Measure M Active Transportation and Highway funding.
Below are some of the projects in our region that have been funded by Measure R and Measure M.
